About Salalah Medical Supplies Manufacturing Co. LLC

Salalah Medical Supplies Manufacturing Co. LLC was founded in 1997 to produce all types of hospital supplies, including surgical gloves, facemasks, bandages, adhesive plasters, surgical cotton, gauze and cotton products.

This shareholding company is wholly owned by Omani nationals who direct the management team –– professionals with the highest level of manufacturing expertise and experience.

In 1999, the company was accredited with the prestigious ISO 9002 QMS certification. In March 2003 the certification was revised to the latest ISO 9001:2000 QMS.

The Manufacturing Facility

Our state of the art facility, which encompasses production lines, quality assurances, clean room, sterilization facilities, storage facilities, laboratory, workshop, and administrative office, is located in the Raysut Industrial Estate, which is in an area of 8,000 sq. meters of land adjacent to the Salalah Port. The facility is equipped with technologically advanced equipment for producing, sterilizing, and testing gloves, facemasks, surgical cotton, different kinds of adhesive plaster, cotton crepe, elastic bandages, cotton buds, cotton balls and other products for hospitals.

Organizationally, we are structured to achieve company objectives. Our customers can be assured of excellent service from each point of contact from sales through delivery. Staff involved in the production and quality control of our products are qualified and experienced, forming the core of our business. Their continued training to meet product innovation requirements is mandatory.

Partnership

In order to enter medical device manufacturing, SMSMCO has partnered with the US group Ascent (link to www.ascentcompanies.com) to form Salalah Medical Device Manufacturing Company, SAOC, (SMDM), with a US subsidiary, Ascent Medical Corporation. SMDM is an original equipment manufacturer of guidewires (www.ascentoem.com).
